Jessica (Jess/They/Them) is currently a freelance Costume Designer based in Los Angeles, California. They were the Costume Director at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Los Angeles. During their time at AADA, they designed over twenty-four Company shows, over thirty exam plays, forty graduation plays, and thirty one acts. They are currently designing The Apiary at New Village Arts in Carlsbad, CA. For film, they designed Tall Tales and assisted in the feature film, Poisoned Skies. Their latest commercial project was Spellbound, co-designed with Jordan Emery Fell for Princess Cruises and The Magic Castle in Hollywood.
They believe that a strong community is central to creating great art, and the breaking of bread between people is inherently necessary to continue as an artist.
Jessica has a Master of Fine Arts in Costume Design from the University of Washington, Seattle, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Costume Design and Technology from Virginia Commonwealth University.
