Jessica (Jess/They/Them) is currently the Costume Director at The American Academy Arts, Los Angeles. They have a Master of Fine Arts in Costume Design from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from VCUArts. They are an abolitionist, an artist, teacher, and an aspiring herbalist. During their time at The Academy, they have designed twenty-four Company shows, over thirty exam plays, eleven graduation plays, and twenty one acts. At the University of Washington, they designed; An Accidental Death of an Anarchist, The Women of Lockerbie, Three Sisters, and Body Awareness.

They have an extensive history of organizing at the local and state level to advocate for immigration and reproductive rights in the state of Virginia. In Washington, they participated in mutual aid programs serving food and other necessities to underserved communities surrounding the Seattle area. They believe that a strong community is central to creating great art, and the breaking of bread between people is inherently necessary to continue as an artist.
