Jessica (Jess/They/Them) is currently a freelance Costume Designer based in Los Angeles, California. They were the Costume Director at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Los Angeles. During their time at AADA, they designed over twenty-four Company shows, over thirty exam plays, forty graduation plays, and thirty one acts. They are currently designing Enemy of the Pueblo at the Western Stage in Salinas, CA and Rent at New Village Arts in Carlsbad, CA. For film, they designed Tall Tales and assisted in their first feature film, Poisoned Skies.
They believe that a strong community is central to creating great art, and the breaking of bread between people is inherently necessary to continue as an artist.
Jessica has a Master of Fine Arts in Costume Design from the University of Washington, Seattle, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Costume Design and Technology from Virginia Commonwealth University.
